Thej is a senior from Atlanta, GA, majoring in English with minors in Information Science and Law & Society. He is passionate about technology and civil rights law with a focus on surveillance, digital privacy, and emerging technology. Combining these interests, he hopes to explore a career at the intersections of legal advocacy and tech policy.
Outside of KAPi, he is Co-President of Cornell's South Asian Council, one of the Senior Executive Advisors for the Cornell American Civil Liberties Union, and an analyst for the Environment and Technology Center of Cornell Policy Group.
Thej is currently a Product Management Intern at Ocient, working on AI governance and telecommunication privacy. This past summer Thej was an intern in the Appeals Bureau of the Bronx District Attorney's Office, supporting ongoing appellate criminal litigation. Thej is also a former Research and Advocacy Intern for the Surveillance Technology Oversight Project, where he contributed to ongoing lobbying and community-based education regarding surveillance, privacy, and discriminatory policing.
In his free time, Thej enjoys perfecting his chai recipe, saving tables in Libe Café, and making hyper-specific Spotify playlists.
